Curriculum.

  • St Paul’s Choir came to sing for our older children recently and now 46 of our children have signed up for the Learning Community Choir!!
  • Many of the younger children in P2 have had fun with the ‘Enjoyaball’ programme.

 

 

Diary Dates.

 

  • Flu Vaccination will take place in school on Monday 26th October.
  • South Glasgow schools have the third In-service training day on Monday 19th October.  School will re-open for children on Tuesday 20th October.
  • Please note that the Book Fair is arriving on the 7 Oct until 21 October. This will be available during Parent’s Evenings.

 

Health and Safety.

 

  • Children who have an inhaler should keep one in their bag and second should be kept in the school office.  If a child is registered with regard to requiring an inhaler, they cannot attend trips if they have not got this in school. Also, Permission slips for trips and activities are very important. If these are not returned to school, a child cannot attend the trip and phone permission is not allowable under health and safety regulations.
  • The Campus have had a series of successful fire evacuation drills.  Children were very sensible and organised.

 

Citizenship and Community.

 

  • The next Coffee afternoon is on Friday 2nd October. Please take time to come and have a coffee/tea/juice with other parents and carers. Everyone is welcome.
  • The Parent Partnership will be organising a Christmas Fayre for the morning of Saturday 5th December in the school hall. Those wishing to be involved in helping are welcome to attend the next meeting

 

  • The Parent Council have changed their name to Parent Partnership to reflect the great support they give the school. The next meeting for the Partnership will be on Thursday 1st October at 2:15pm. All parents and carers are welcome to attend!

 

  • As part of our continuing partnership programme with Wholefoods 15 pupils took a turn at Enterprise in a big way. They sold the jam they had produced at Wholefoods Giffnock and made a profit of £57!! Fabulous effort by all children and staff involved.
  • Mrs Boyle’s Gymnastic group continue to do great things and will be part of the lead up to the World Gymnastic Championships at the Emirates Arena.  Terrific effort and application everyone!
