School Uniform and PE kit.
Mr Tracey conducted a spot check on classes who had the correct uniform and indoor/sandshoes. Uniform was much better than last month; however, it was the younger children who are much better at having indoor shoes/sandshoes. As we said last time, if a child has PE on that day, they must bring a change of clothing, with the exception of the children who have the school tracksuit.
The P7 candidates for Captain and Vice-Captain have now put forward their nominations and spoke to their teams. The successful candidates will be announced in assembly next week. All the candidates spoke particularly well and are very enthusiastic about their job! The team with the most house points at the end of the month will get an extra-long play, but the winning house at the end of the session will receive the House cup and a special treat.
Please again keep an eye out on the forecasts over the next few weeks as the weather is projected to be very unpredictable. The Glasgow Council website, Clyde FM and BBC Radio Scotland are reliable sources of information for news on schools when the weather becomes worse.
Many thanks for your continued support.
Helping the Parent Council.
As you know, we have a very dedicated and hard-working Parent Council who do a great deal of good work to improve the quality of the children’s learning experiences through fund-raising and also in terms of organising events. They are looking for people who would be able to help out with events in school through the year, such as the Spring/Easter Fair. The group need all the help they can get. If you would like to help in this way, please could you indicate below with a contact number and return the slip with your child.
I am able to help the Parent Council with events/organisation.
